Departmental Goals
1 . CREATE CHANGE TOGETHER
The Office of Health & Wellness encourages that its members actively listen to one another and provides opportunities for its members to create meaningful connections. We value collaboration and want our members to recognize that our ideas are better when multiple, diverse, sometimes opposing or differing learning perspectives are sought, heard, and considered from across the organization, and throughout the community. We encourage returning voices and welcome new voices to discuss matters most prevalent to them in terms of their health & wellness. (Community & Belonging Goal)
2. INVITE AUTHENTICITY
We all are unique, complex, multilayered individuals that make up who we are, and we should choose to meet each other where we are, exactly as we are. As Massasoit's Office of Health & Wellness, we align our actions with each of these values. The Office of Health & Wellness encourages those to practice authenticity for themselves, while also supporting others in being able to be authentic too, to advance our organizational mission of acceptance of all individuals who enter the Massasoit campus. (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Accessibility Goal)
3. ENCOURAGING CIVIC ENGAMENT & STUDENT LEADERSHIP
The Office of Health & Wellness provides leadership and civic engagement opportunities for participants to develop the skills needed to mobilize policy change within the micro-Massasoit institutional level, mezzo Greater Brockton community Level, and/or macro state-federal policy level (Leadership, Public Advocacy, & Civil Engagement Goal)
4. FOSTER A COMMUNITY OF COLLABORATION & SERVICE UTILIZATION
The Office of Health & Wellness provides learning opportunities and resource connections through 1:1 case referral, or large-scale workshops, about health topics that are most prevalent today, whether that be within the micro-Massasoit institutional level, mezzo Greater Brockton Community Level, and/or macro state-federal policy level (Community Integration Goal)
