The Office of Student Life provides a comprehensive co-curricular student experience through leadership development, involvement opportunities, and a diverse array of social, cultural, and educational programs for the entire Massasoit Community. All of our programs challenge and encourage students to become empowered, inclusive, and knowledgeable future community and global leaders.

1. Student development and learning happens both in and out of the classroom, and programs seek to help students make connections between their academics and real-world applications.
2. Empower students to be resilient and teach them how to advocate for themselves and those around them through programs and training.
3. Leadership is accessible to all students, and only through shared experiences can students learn to both improve their leadership style and appreciate those of others.
4. Mutual respect of all students, staff, faculty, and community members is key in establishing an environment of inclusiveness, understanding, and the sharing of ideas.

Mission
The Student Senate is the Student Government Association at Massasoit Community College. They serve as a liaison between the student body and the college administration, participating in planning and decision-making processes to improve the college experience for all students. They also oversee student clubs and organizations, including the annual review of club applications and the allocation of funds to support the missions of established clubs and organizations. Senators are also very involved members of the college community, planning and attending student activities and events, and participating in community service projects.

Mission
The Office of Health and Wellness at Massasoit supports students’ holistic health and wellbeing utilizing Dr. Peggy Swarbrick’s Eight Pillars of Wellness Model. These 8 pillars include emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, occupational, physical, social, and spiritual wellness. We then address the facets of wellness by providing health information, outreach campaigns, and programs focused on high-risk areas that impact college populations.

By joining the Office of Health & Wellness page, members can engage in virtual and on campus engagement opportunities, members can make lasting friendships and foster a community of genuine human connection with each other around their health and wellness needs.

2. Collaboration

By joining the Office of Health & Wellness page, members can expect to join a community that will share with them resource information as it pertains to Dr. Peggy Swarbricks 8 Pillars of Health & Wellness. Students can expect to be connected to resources informally through each other, at the micro-level at Massasoit, at mezzo-level through community collaboration with the Greater Plymouth & Norfolk counties, and at the macro-level through Commonwealth of Massachusetts or Federal U.S. based resources.

3. Cultivation

By joining the Office of Health & Wellness page, members can expect to join a community that will allow for its members to learn imperative information as it pertains to Dr. Peggy Swarbrick's 8 Pillars of Health & Wellness. Members can expect to partake in psycho-educational speaker series, psycho-educational workshops, resource fairs, field expert tabling engagements, SEL incorporated expressive arts activities, and other ways to engage learning.

By joining the Office of Health & Wellness page, members can expect to join a community that will provide engaging programming that allows members to have unique, novel experiences that allows them to check in with their overall health and wellness.
